Savannah's speech

The speech therapist came out on Thursday to evaluate Savannah. She had Savannah's speech scores from the Bayley test they did at the NICU follow-up clinic, but wanted to elaborate more on those. She did an articulation test with Savannah. Long story short, she scored as having a "severe speech delay" and will qualify for services. She doesn't need to do anymore to get her qualified, but is coming out again Tuesday for more testing to try to isolate more sounds and see exactly what should be written up in her treatment plan. Savannah cooperated great for the testing and just loved the ST. It's actually the same ST that worked with Isaac when he was younger. It's nice to have the same person, since we already know her. It's always kind of strange at first having complete strangers come into your house and work with your kids every week. This will make the transition smoother, and I am happy to see Savannah took to her right away:) I look forward to her making some progress. She gets so frustrated right now with her lack of communication.
